2026–2027 School Year
Dear UTSC Families,
A new school year is filled with excitement, anticipation, and opportunity. Our hallways are ready, classrooms are prepared, and our staff is eager to welcome students back for another incredible year. Whether your family is beginning your Bearcat journey or celebrating a senior year, we are thankful you are part of the UTSC community.
Throughout the summer, our staff teams have worked to ensure our schools are clean, safe, and ready for learning. Our principals, teachers, and staff have spent time participating in summer professional learning, planning engaging lessons, and preparing their classrooms so every student feels welcomed and supported from the very first day.
Each year, we have the opportunity to build on the strengths that make Bearcat Nation such a special place. Our focus remains on creating meaningful connections and a strong sense of belonging because we know students thrive when they feel valued, supported, and encouraged. We are committed to challenging every learner, celebrating accomplishments, and providing the opportunities that help each student reach their full potential.
Strong schools are built through strong partnerships with families. Thank you for the trust you place in us each day. As superintendent, I am committed to listening, being accessible, and working alongside our students, families, and staff to ensure every child has an outstanding Bearcat experience. A Few Important Notes:
Bus Riders: If your child rides the bus, a separate communication from our Bus Transportation System, EZRouting, will be sent this Friday with detailed transportation information. Routes and schedules will be available then. If you have questions, please call your child’s school. Thank you for your patience as we finalize these details.
Registration & Back-to-School Communication: Please be sure your registration is complete and stay tuned for building-specific updates from your child’s school to help you and your student feel ready for the first day.
Events Underway: Our welcome back events have been shared, and fall athletic seasons and theatre announcements have already begun! We encourage you to come out and support our Bearcats!
