As part of our UTSC STEM Program, Space Week is underway at our elementary schools, bringing learning to life through a week of space-themed activities across multiple subject areas. From art and math to social-emotional learning and reading, students are engaging in lessons designed to spark curiosity and creativity while exploring the wonders of space.
A main-stage highlight of the week is the Digitarium, a portable, inflatable planetarium that provides an immersive educational experience. Inside the Digitarium, students are surrounded by vivid projections of the night sky, constellations, planets, and galaxies, allowing them to explore space in a hands-on, interactive way. This unique experience helps deepen understanding of astronomy concepts while inspiring awe and excitement for science.
Space Week offers students meaningful, cross-curricular learning opportunities that encourage exploration, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning.
A huge shout-out and thank you to Mrs. Amy Asher and Mrs. Melissa Anderson for their leadership, coordination of the week, and knowledge of the Digitarium! The week wouldn't be possible without them!
