Dear Families of Preschoolers,
We're thrilled to announce our current preschool classrooms at JSE and UCE are at full capacity and we are having another successful school year! We will continue to provide Bearcat Beginnings Preschool Program to serve our community next year and are opening registration today to ensure we can accommodate as many of our families as possible. The number of classrooms and locations depends on our registrations so please register and spread the word!
Our preschool aligns with the needs of our community and aims to prepare students for Kindergarten success. After thorough research and review, we continue to serve those children who will be 4-years-old by October 1st and late 5-year-olds. This decision was made after careful consideration of various factors.
Focusing on 4 and late 5-year-olds allows us to target students who are closest to attending Kindergarten the following year. Our Bearcat Beginnings Preschool offers three schedule options. Our program will follow the UTSC school calendar. By concentrating our efforts on this age group, we can provide a more tailored and effective learning experience, ensuring that our preschoolers are adequately prepared for the transition to elementary school.
If your child is 4 years old by October 1st or 5 years old and not attending Kindergarten in the fall, please complete the first phase of the Preschool Registration process. You may also find the link and information on the front page of our website.
